Abdu-l Hakk Dehlawi flourished in the reign of Jahangir, and wrote a work containing memoirs of the most famous philosophers and poets of Delhi. He mentions that one of the learned men of Firoz Shah’s reign was Maulana Khwajagi, the preceptor of Kazi Shahabu-d din Daulatabadi. Maulana Ahmad Thanesari and Kazi ‘Abdul Muktadir Shanihi are also said to have been distinguished literary characters of the period.
