Cave XIV. has a verandah 63 feet by 11 feet 1 inch by 9 feet, and has in front of it six pillars and two pilasters. These have square piers divided by two slightly sunk fluted bands, 11 inches broad; a vase-shaped body comes next, with a flat inverted shield on each side; and a plain abacus is above. Only the front half of the cave has been partially finished, and has a neat central door, with two others at the sides, and two windows, all of a very plain type. The cave belongs to the 5th or 6th century, and if finished, should have been supported by a row of six columns and two pilasters, and should have measured 61 feet by 25 feet 6 inches.
